Siarhei Sulimau has been working in education field for more than 17 years. He is the founder of the largest educational center “Leader” in Belarus, the English language school “English Papa”, the driving school “Leader” and a number of other educational projects. Siarhei Sulimau is on the top 50 businessmen list of the Gomel region.

He was born on July 18, 1981 in Gomel. He studied in economics class at school, was fond of swimming, boxing and judo. He took the 3rd place in the tournament of Gomel on chess. He was elected as the president of the school debating club. In 1998 he entered the Gomel State University without exams due to his victory in the olympiad in mathematics.

From 1998 to 2003 he studied at the Francis Skaryna Gomel State University, where he was engaged in the development of the educational business, the education of children in kindergartens in particular. At the same time he organized computer training courses in Gomel. Siarhei Sulimau is among the well-known graduates of the Faculty of Economics of the Gomel State University.

In 1999 he was elected president of the noncommercial association “Gomel Scientific Association”, which later became the basis of the educational center “Leader”.

In 2003-2004, Siarhei Sulimau studied at the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences on a joint program of the University of Manchester and the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation. He received a master’s degree in political science (MA in Political Arts) at the University of Manchester. He explored the field of education and introduced new programs in this area.

In 2004, upon his return to Belarus, he continued to develop business and engage in science.

From 2004 to 2007 he studied at the graduate school of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus at the Faculty of Political Sciences, the theme of the thesis is “The ideological foundations and orientations of the Belarusian post-Soviet state”. In 2005 he won a scholarship from the German Ministry of Economics and held a one-month internship in Germany training managers for the Belarusian economy.

In 2007 he was awarded a Muskie scholarship for studying in the USA.

In the years 2007-2009, he attended the full-time MBA program at the Minnesota State University. During his studies he passed an internship in Los Angeles.

In 2009, upon his return to Minsk, he continued the development of the educational center “Leader”. At that time online courses were actively introduced in the center and some new training programs were added.

In 2013 he won a British government scholarship “Chevening”.

In 2013-2014, while being in the UK, he studied at the Warwick University and received a master’s degree in electronic business management (Master of Arts in Electronic Business Management).

All this time there was an active development of the educational center “Leader” and consolidation of its leading role in the market of additional education services.

In 2014, after a thorough study of English experience in this field, the English language school “EnglishPapa” was founded.

In 2014 the educational center “Leader” won the “People’s Brand” consumer recognition award (nomination – “Educational Courses”). In 2015, a victory in the “Choice of the Year” competition was added to another “People’s Brand” award. The “Choice of the Year” and “People’s Brand” were on the list of awards in 2016. In 2017 – the first victory in the competition “Brand of the Year”, “Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus” and “Product of the Year”.

In 2016, work began on the service BookYourStudy, allowing you to select and book training anywhere in the world. As part of the work on the service, he visited dozens of international exhibitions and educational centers abroad. He personally communicated with thousands of specialists in the field of education during meetings at international conferences ICEF Berlin, ICEF Miami, ICEF Moscow, Alphe London, Alphe Malaga, MEI Dublin and others.

In addition to the educational sphere, during various periods of his life Siarhei Sulimau acted as the founder of many organizations and developed business in such areas as real estate, vending machines, hotel business, PVC windows, tire service, car service, IT, advertising agency, online stores, electronic bulletin boards, shops of construction materials, media. A number of projects are successfully working now.

Hobbies: kiting, windsurfing, boxing, aviation (amateur pilot), squash, debate (the winner of the republican tournaments on the debates of the British format in 2011 and 2012).
